Proud that UNHCR has launched https://t.co/MKBrOmhdcg: survivors of sexual harassment can use this secure and confidential tool to tell their story safely, and verify if their harasser has harassed other people. One further step in fighting abuse in our organisation. https://t.co/M8XZIuwkgF

More than 300,000 people have now fled Sudan to neighbouring countries. Many have crossed the borders of Chad and Egypt in the last few days. Donor contributions to the refugee response plan remain scarce. We need more resources, urgently, to support countries hosting refugees.

The @UN is urgently asking for US$3 billion to help people affected by fighting in #Sudan, inside the country and in neighbouring states. There are 230,000 refugees, and numbers are growing — US$470 million are needed to support countries hosting them. https://t.co/1h8jgljp1R

Discrimination against #LGBTIQ+ people is increasing, including — in some countries — by laws criminalising sexual orientation or gender identity. Many are forced to seek refuge abroad, where sometimes they are discriminated again. We must break this vicious cycle. #IDAHOBIT https://t.co/6n8QJyd4sV

Today I hosted ministerial delegations from the Democratic Rep of Congo, led by @RDCongoMAE and Rwanda, led by @mskayisire. We discussed defining a roadmap towards solutions for Congolese and Rwandan refugees: issues are challenging but the start of the dialogue was constructive. https://t.co/2bw9sdyHqu

Respect for all those working hard to prevent disaster among Rohingya refugees and Bangladeshi host communities as #CycloneMocha hits the area: volunteers, government officials, aid agencies. Efforts are under way to try and help also inside Myanmar where the impact is powerful. https://t.co/Hz33VBxmk2

The “Declaration of Commitment” by the parties to the Sudan conflict is a positive step towards restoring peace. While mediation efforts continue in order to stop the fighting, hopefully aid agencies can now step up the delivery of much needed assistance to beleaguered civilians.

“Title 42” was lifted by the US government - new, safe pathways and increased refugee resettlement are welcome , but measures restricting access to asylum are of concern. Read the statement by UNHCR and @UNmigration 👇🏻 https://t.co/TemiJbBpya

A large new influx of refugees from Sudan into neighbouring Chad brings the total number of people having fled Sudan to over 200,000 — and rising. We are grateful to those donors preparing contributions to help refugees and host communities they are now increasingly urgent!
