Conditions inside detention centres are awful. Refugees+migrants should not be held there, especially children under 18. The use of detention centres is one reason, amongst others, why refugees should not be returned to Libya after being rescued at sea.

Thousands remain at risk, held in captivity in detention centres. Despite international efforts, fighting continues. Enough is enough. Time for an orderly release of all detained refugees + migrants, and for all the detention centres to be closed. https://t.co/fJdQlRA2et

Nearly 20,000 refugees and migrants have died attempting to cross the Mediterranean in the last five years. That’s enough to fill Watford football club’s Premier League stadium. https://t.co/cplsXuZiv6
