As the number of refugees from Ukraine who have fled to neighbouring countries reaches 875,000, I head to Romania on a visit that will take me also to Moldova and Poland in the next few days — to assess the situation of refugees and assure host governments of UNHCR’s support.

The number of people who have fled Ukraine to neighbouring countries has reached 677,000. The @UN humanitarian agencies and their NGO partners have launched an appeal to donors for $ 1.7 billion to support affected people inside Ukraine, and refugees from Ukraine in the region.
