Description
International Mother Language Day reminds us that linguistic diversity opens up true understanding of every culture. At the non-formal school of Volos refugee site, Central Greece, children are eager to share a traditional Greek song, before attending classes in their mother tongue. UNHCR and the European Commission support non-formal educational activities as a start that allows refugee children to prepare for entering the official education system.
