Andrea and Johan have never met, but they have something in common.

Andrea and Johan's paths have never been crossed. Andrea, originally from Venezuela, has called Mexico home for seven years. Johan is Honduran and arrived in Mexico just over five years ago. Andrea vividly remembers the night she knocked on the door of a shelter with her entire life inside a suitcase in Mexico City. At that precise moment, Johan was surviving harassment and threats from gang members back in his hometown. Unbeknownst to Andrea and Johan, their stories share something in common: the happiest day of their lives was marked by the moment they were granted Mexican nationality after fleeing their countries.
