When John Salah arrived in Uganda he was still having nightmares. Now, he is running a business in Omugo, serving the community at his restaurant. Working with implementing partner TPO, refugees who arrive in Uganda receive mental health support. After people participate in therapy they are referred to partner organisation BRAC to make sure people have the help they need to get back on their feet. Be it training, guidance or material help to get a business up and running. Therapy by TPO, paired with BRAC's economic support and guidance, means John is sustaining himself. PROSPECTS is a global partnership that aims to improve the lives of millions who have been forced to flee their homes, and of those who host them. Spearheaded by the Government of the Netherlands, it brings together the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), UNHCR, UNICEF and the World Bank to share resources and expertise in these settings. It aims to work with governments to strengthen their national systems to support displaced persons and the communities they join. PROSPECTS works to ensure dignified and sustainable solutions to several forced displacement crises. The Partnership works across eight countries: Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Sudan and Uganda.
