Lebanon: Isolation unit piloted in refugee settlement to slow coronavirus

As the world deals with Covid-19 pandemic, UNHCR is making preprations to ensure the refugee population in Lebanon is equipped to deal with an outbreak. UNHCR teams tested building isolation units close to tented settlements in the Bekaa Valley. These make-shift units will help isolate refugees suspected of having the virus to stop it from spreading within the community. No Covid-19 cases have yet been confirmed among refugees in Lebanon.
