We are joining @MrBeast and @MarkRober for the #TeamWater challenge to help bring clean, safe water to people who do not have adequate access. People forced to flee often face harsh conditions with limited access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene - all this while seeking safety from war or persecution. In emergencies, families sometimes survive on just a few litres of clean water a day. Women and children often walk long distances to fetch water, risking their health, safety, and education. Access to clean water helps prevent disease, protects communities, and empowers people to thrive. For millions of refugees and displaced people, access to water is about more than survival — it’s about dignity, safety, and the chance to rebuild their lives. UNHCR works with partners like Water Aid to improve and expand sustainable water systems — including solar-powered solutions — so refugees and host communities can access safe water for drinking, cooking, and washing.
