Award-winning Ivorian graphics designer, Grebet O’Plerou creates special emoji for World Refugee Day. 22-year-old Ivorian artist Gebret O’Plérou designs the 2020 World Refugee Day emoji. It’s two hands linked together in the shape of a heart. O’Plérou says he wanted to create an emoji that shows diversity and solidarity. It comes with the #WorldRefugeeDay hashtag in several languages. The young designer made world headlines with 365 emojis inspired by African culture that change the way people see the continent.
