On the first leg of his World Refugee Day visit to the region, the UN High Commissioner calls for support for Lebanon. Guterres and Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Miqati launched an appeal for $1.7 billion, Lebanon's biggest ever humanitarian appeal. Lebanon is currently sheltering over half a million registered refugees, Guterres spoke of the very real danger of the Syrian crisis spilling over into Lebanon.
