Rohingya crisis: Gas cook stoves a recipe for cleaner, greener refugee settlement

In light of UNHCR's Global Compact for Refugees many international communities are already taking long term measures to improve livelihoods and infrastructures, giving new momentum to the international cooperation in refugee and migration policy. UNHCR is distributing 200,000 clean-burning cookstoves in Bangladesh, as a cleaner, greener and safer option for refugees. The daily hunt for firewood is a dangerous and exhausting routine for Rohingya children and women in exile, and a menace to the forests of Bangladesh where they have found refuge.
