A Chance to Learn: Refugee and Asylum-Seeking Children Start School in Trinidad and Tobago
ACNUR, la Agencia de la ONU para los Refugiados
Description
For the first time, refugee and asylum-seeking children from Venezuela registered under the 2019 Migrant Registration Framework were able to enter national classrooms in Trinidad and Tobago. Thanks to a new policy granting student permits, these children now have the opportunity to learn, grow, and build brighter futures alongside their peers. UNHCR supported this milestone by equipping students with books, backpacks, uniforms, shoes, and other essentials to help them succeed in their academic journey.
