In Togo, refugee women and local communities are joining forces to build a prosperous future.

Description
In northern Togo, Burkinabé refugee women are joining forces with the local community to achieve economic empowerment through initiatives such as Community Savings and Credit Associations (ACECs), supported by UNHCR and the local organisation "Club des Femmes des Savanes pour la Promotion de la Culture". These associations enable women to engage in income-generating activities, save money and promote social cohesion. However, challenges such as access to water and crop protection remain, highlighting the need for continued support and cooperation to create a more inclusive and prosperous future for both refugees and host communities.
