This video documents the work of Akeza Karigura, a refugee-owned cooperative supported by Indego Africa, a Rwandan social enterprise to reach international markets for their products. Thanks to the support of Indego Africa, Akeza Karigura is now able to produce made-in-Rwanda baskets that meets international standards are exported to America under the African Growth and Opportunities Act allowing African manufactured goods to enter the US market customs-free. Akeza Karigura is a registered cooperative in Rwanda that contributes positively to Rwanda’s economy through job-creation and improved balance of trade.
