UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency is teaming up with the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) to launch a Ramadan campaign to increase access to education for refugee children and youth in Kenya. Currently more than two-thirds of refugee school-aged children do not attend secondary school. And 87% of refugee youth do not have access to post-secondary education. As a result, hundreds of thousands of refugee children and youth are sitting in limbo, left feeling hopeless and deserted. But this Ramadan we can change that. We are calling on Muslims and non-Muslims alike to give generously and invest in the education of refugees in Kenya.
