Being a refugee then and now - LAMPA Festival in Riga, Latvia
UNHCR Nordic and Baltic Countries
Description
At this year’s LAMPA Festival in Riga, Latvia, highlighting the 70th anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention, UNHCR together with partners zoomed in on those complex questions of identity and belonging – and had two persons with strong personal experiences discuss them. Syrian Aladin, who fled his country to Latvia, discussed identity, home and belonging with Lalita, who fled her home country Latvia during World War II.
