Telling the Real Story is about the extraordinary journeys made by Eritrean and Somali refugees and migrants to Europe. Mr. Mohamed Aden Hersi (Terra) spoke to Telling the Real Story team in Stockholm on the dangers of tahriib. ‘The hopelessness in the country [Somalia] caused people to lose sight of the dangers of tahriib. In addition, the Diaspora youth with better education return to Somalia and compete with the local youth taking their jobs’’ he said. Mr. Terra is a well-known Somali senior journalist and community activist based in London, the U.K. His famous TV programme is ‘fool ka fool’ on Universal TV. He interviews a variety of people from the community on his TV programme ranging from politicians to community activists. Mr. Terra used to be the Director General of Radio Mogadishu in Somalia before the civil war broke out in 1991. He currently lives in the U.K. He shares more details in the video below.
