Description
Since fleeing Syria with his family in 2012, Hany has been living in an informal settlement in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. He finished high school shortly before they fled, and now counts his diploma as one of his most treasured possessions – his ticket, he hopes, to a university education. In November 2014, Hany took part in a two-week photography workshop with photojournalist Brendan Bannon. A devoted writer and musician, Hany calls photography "my third art."
