Last year, Australian donors gave generously to improve healthcare services for refugee mothers and their newborns in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), one of the riskiest places in the world to be born. In Inke village, where around one-third of the population are refugees from the Central African Republic (CAR), Naomi Steer saw firsthand the impact of this support on the local community.
