Jihan and her husband -- both blind -- fled Syria with their two young boys, taking a perilous boat journey to Greece. Her husband continued on to Denmark, where he has been granted asylum, but Jihan and the children have been waiting nine months to join him. Until their mother can get a badly needed cornea transplant, her boys must be her eyes to the world. Stranded and vulnerable, Jihan bears the weariness of many refugees fleeing a brutal war yet finding themselves unwelcome in Europe.
