World Refugee Day: Diane Kruger wants you to share Mahmoud's story
Australia for UNHCR
Description
Diane Kruger asks you to watch and share Syrian refugee Mahmoud's story, on World Refugee Day. Mahmoud was one of more than 300,000 Syrian refugees who have sought safety in Egypt since the conflict in his homeland began three years ago. The nine-year-old was so desperate to attend school that he risked his life to get to Europe. He was stopped and sent back to Egypt but is now making a fresh start in Sweden. Each day violence and insecurity forces thousands of families to flee their homes. Mothers, fathers, sons and daughters have to run for their lives enduring uncertainty, hardship and loss. Despite all this, they have stories of courage, survival and resilience to tell. --- Subscribe to our Channel to stay up to date with the latest in refugee news and crises: https://www.youtube.com/user/Aus4unhcr What is UNHCR?
