Lebanon: One Million Syrian Refugees
Australia for UNHCR
Description
A devastating marker of one million refugees registered in Lebanon alone has been reached. That's one million individuals whose lives have been torn apart by the crisis in Syria. Meet Yehya, the 1 millionth Syrian refugee in Lebanon, he is 18 years old and registered as a refugee in Lebanon this week. There are 2.5 million refugees in the region from Syria, and 6.5 million Syrians inside Syria who have been displaced. Each number represents a human life, a person who have lost their home and have seen family members killed. They have lost their savings and don't they see their future as bright.
