Description
Ella is a 6 year old girl who was caught up in the fighting in Yemen and was severely traumatised by the violence. She was playing outside when a bomb hit. Her father, Hussein, was inside when the bomb hit. He and her mother ran outside to where she was on the ground unconscious. When she woke up she had changed. She doesn’t hear or speak anymore. She walks around clapping her hands without saying a word. Her family fled the fighting and found shelter at the UNHCR camp. Ella is just one of many innocent children caught up in famine, conflict and disaster. When they have nowhere else to go, no hope UNHCR, the UN refugee agency protects them.
