Eight-month-old baby Firas is struggling to survive. The family were forced to flee Mosul to save their only child from hunger. When they arrived at a UNHCR camp, Firas was hungry and dehydrated. UNHCR immediately admitted him for emergency medical treatment. Even a severely malnourished child, like Firas, has a 98 per cent chance of recovery if they receive urgent nutritional support in time.
