Artists, cultural institutions and the art world are playing an increasingly important role in speaking out against injustices, raising public awareness of today’s social issues and creating spaces to allow for a dialogue between host communities and refugees. To celebrate this commitment and to mobilize these new voices for the protection of forcibly displaced persons, the United Nations Refugee Agency is present at the prestigious Art Basel contemporary art fair.
