#WithRefugees | Lim Bol is a refugee of knowledge
UNHCRschweiz
Description
Ethiopia hosts more than 100,000 school age South Sudanese children with less than half enrolled in school. Refugee schools in the Gambella face a severe shortage of teachers, supplies and space, with up to 150 students per classroom. UNHCR and its partners are working to bring more quality education to more students, but a lack of resources remains a challenge. Lim Bol Thong walks tall and proud. Only 21… A Vice Principal…not much older than his students. But here in the Kule refugee camp knowledge trumps age. In South Sudan, Lim graduated high school at the top of his class. A medical degree was his next goal…until war uprooted his life.
