Tomorrow, we will welcome a new year. In the remaining hours of 2018, we recognize the strength and resilience of refugees, returnees, displaced people and the host communities in Syria. Many are entering the New Year under extremely difficult circumstances, yet are working every day for a better tomorrow. We recognize the courage of all humanitarian workers on the ground, who are dedicating their lives to provide assistance to those in need. And we thank our donors for their continuous, generous support, through whom UNHCR can continue life-saving programmes, and contribute to the resilience of millions of people inside Syria.
