Khatoun is eager to finish her training, in order to find a job at a sewing workshop in #Aleppo. The 45-year-old woman wants to work to help her son, who is working day and night to ensure her family have a better life. Khatoun wished to learn the sewing skills from the early age, but it was not attainable, as she got married in her early age and had to take care of her children. Now, she is involved in a 75 day sewing training at a community centre supervised by a UNHCR’s partner in Hanano neighborhood, East Aleppo. Through vocational training, UNHCR Syria empowers women and strengthens their skills and capabilities, enabling them to become self-sufficient.
