House repairs restore hope for Ukrainian family after year of turmoil

Через бойові дії, які все ще точаться на сході та півдні, а також масштабні руйнування будинків та інфраструктури далеко за їх межами, потреби мільйонів людей зараз більше, ніж будь-коли. Ремонт пошкоджених будинків є важливою частиною допомоги людям, які постраждали від війни, дозволяючи їм залишатися вдома та в своїх громадах. Чотири покоління родини Гуменних живуть під одним дахом. Їхній будинок був пошкоджений військовими діями. УВКБ ООН надало будівельні матеріали для відновлення їхнього будинку. *** A year has passed since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. A third of the population remains uprooted and 17.6 million people inside the country require urgent humanitarian assistance. With fighting still raging in the east and south and widespread destruction to homes and civilian infrastructure, the needs of millions of people are greater now than ever. Repairs damaged houses provides a lifeline to people affected by war, allowing them to stay in their home and community. Four generations of the Humennyy family live under one roof. Their home was damaged by hostilities, before repairs by UNHCR provided a safe sanctuary amid the ongoing war.
