Oksana Babych is a lawyer who has been working in UNHCR Ukraine for 20 years. She started as a volunteer, but since 2011 has been a protection officer, focusing primarily on the provision of legal and social assistance to refugees who seek asylum in Ukraine and cooperation with relevant Government stakeholders responsible for refugee protection. She is inspired by the strength and motivation of the people she helps, as well as the professionalism and dedication of UNHCR partner organizations and colleagues.
