Who helps refugees? There are currently over 25 million refugees around the world, the highest number ever. UNHCR provides life-saving support, as shelter, water, food, and health care. But we don't work alone: we team up with partner organizations . The dream of most refugees is to return home. When possible, we help make this dream a reality. When refugees can’t go back home we help them to rebuild their lives in another country. Getting children into school, helping adults to earn a living, and contributing to their new communities. Helping refugees rebuild, wherever they are.
