UNHCR Afghanistan
Description
Tens of thousands of families, most of whom are displaced or returnees, including former refugees, will be soon able to access high quality health services, with construction starting on a new solar-powered comprehensive health centre. The health centre is being built in north-eastern Kunduz province, Afghanistan, which was a high conflict zone for many years and where UNHCR works today, with partners and other agencies, to provide essential services to reach the most vulnerable, including women and girls. The project is supported by the Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund (AHTF), managed by the Islamic Development Bank Group - isdb.org with funding from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).
