Afghanistan–Iran Border Now
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency
Description
As conflict spreads across the Middle East, more Afghans are returning from Iran through the Islam Qala border crossing. Many say they no longer feel safe after the strikes. Others say rising prices and economic pressures have made it increasingly difficult to survive. But Afghanistan is not ready to receive them. After years of conflict and economic crisis, millions already depend on humanitarian aid and an entirely new conflict has broken out. The sudden arrival of large numbers of returnees is putting enormous pressure on fragile services and resources across the country. We cannot leave them alone. Your donation can help families rebuild.
