「每一個人也熱愛自己的國土，但敍利亞的內戰迫使所有人離開。即使現在身在歐洲，我們仍然心繫家鄉。」 在6月16日，愛爾蘭海軍船隻救起一些滯留在海上的漁船，超過400人到達意大利南部，其中包括兒童和孕婦。 "Every human on this planet loves their country but the situation in Syria would force anyone to look for shelter. We have lived a very tough life. We are now in Europe, but our hearts are back in Syria."
