約旦：連夜逃亡 Jordon: Night Arrivals

難民署網頁 UNHCR website: http://www.UNHCR.org.hk/ 在約旦的沙漠，數以千計離鄉背井的敍利亞難民，大部份難民都會在夜間抵達，因為晚間逃難比較安全。救援人員不停工作，為新抵達難民登記。聯合國難民署估計有在2月底前，會再有5萬名或以上的敍利亞難民來到約旦尋求保護，約旦政府、聯合國難民署及工作伙伴，已經在Za'atri旁邊趕工興建Halabat難民營，建成便可以接收更多新抵達的敍利亞難民。 Into the Jordanian desert, thousands of Syrian refugees have just fled their homeland. The refugees come at night, because the night is safer for them. Overnight staff works extended hours to register the new arrivals as quickly possible. In Jordan alone, UNHCR expects to register another 50,000 refugees by the end of February. With the help of the Government of Jordan and partners it is preparing a second major camp close to Za'atri, which will be known as Halabat camp....destined to shelter many of the new arrivals.
