Description
This film has been produced by young refugees residing in Cyprus, as part of a UNHCR Cyprus project. The film of 12 minutes duration merges seven distinct stories, 2-3 minutes each, produced by the young individuals with the help of each other and professional guidance. The short videos produced by each of the 7 participants are available on this playlist. UNHCR’s main goal through this project was to empower young refugees to share their stories and perspectives on their current lives in Cyprus with the wider public. Being a participatory project, the young refugees learned various film-making skills while using the video format to express themselves and tell their stories. The film was first shown at a screening that took place at Cine Studio at the University of Nicosia on 7 February 2018.
