Forget talk of NGO boats being a 'pull factor'. If you're so desperate to flee what's behind you, you are willing to sell your kidney, there is no such thing as a 'pull factor' https://t.co/y4yCIqVlSe

Providing aid to @refugees is about so much more than just giving food, water, shelter, etc... When they're forced to flee for years, they need support to ensure there's enough resources to share with host communities https://t.co/1jtzmRDght

EU urges warring parties in S. Sudan to cease hostilities. The people of South Sudan have suffered long enough. They deserve peace https://t.co/NSB9RnpcfN

The Alan Kurdi rescue boat is the last NGO boat conducting search and rescue operations on the central Med. NGOs play a vital role in saving lives at sea. Already more than 200 people have died attempting to cross the Mediterranean in 2019. https://t.co/btuWS5UQi5

@Rachel_Mantell @JFCrisp @PaoloBiondi82 @MSF For sure, always important to be self-reflective, I’d tend you agree with you that branding is probably a bit too much at the moment, but without looking at underlying reasons why, it won’t change. It’s not as simple as agencies taking photos just for the sake of self-promotion

@JFCrisp @PaoloBiondi82 @Rachel_Mantell In fairness, it's more complex than 1 or other. Serves both purposes, & merits deeper discussion, but that also needs to look at WHY branding is needed. Builds public & donor trust, by showing results in action, leads to more donations, which leads to more support for refugees

No child should be born and face a struggle to access basic education and healthcare. They deserve to dream, and the chance to realise their full potential. @Refugees & @UNICEF are calling on Europe to put an end to child statelessness once and for all https://t.co/xgMW3B9vXk
