The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate in #Tigray. To scale up and deliver urgent aid, Mekelle and Shire airports must re-open, communications and electricity must be restored and safe access must be given to all those in desperate need.

Today I took part in the annual consultations with States and NGOs on refugee resettlement. In 2020 only 34,000 refugees were resettled. Hopefully with US re-engagement, and if COVID recedes, many more will be able to count again on this key solution to forced displacement. https://t.co/T1sONTHgK6
