Imagine telling your children your family has to flee, even though you don't know the road ahead. Walking hundreds of km. Sleeping on the streets, open to many dangers. That's the situation for thousands of #Venezuelans every day. They need your help: https://t.co/p3u83cF1Pu https://t.co/TRFXXTu627

In Lima with our new UNHCR Representative in Peru, Federico. We are both celebrating our first 4 months working for this brilliant organization and for such an important cause. https://t.co/ZGAEH52F8r

Met Scarlet, Christopher and Android, Venezuelan refugees, this afternoon in Tumbes, Peru. I heard how they lost their niece to the poor health care. When their son got terribly sick, and the hospital had no doctors and medicine, they had no option but flee to safety. https://t.co/Q2inyhjQWW

Just landed in Tumbes. Some 2000 Venezuelans are entering daily here into Peru. Families are traveling on foot for up to 40 days to reach safety. They arrive dehydrated, scared and hungry. UNHCR provides them with a safe space to sleep, badly needed health services and supplies. https://t.co/xZfGK3OkpU

I’m in Peru since yesterday. On my way to visit the border and see UNHCR’s response for myself. Over 3.9 million people have left Venezuela. The largest population movement in Latin America. https://t.co/fejlRB76Ny
