In the dry season, temperatures soar above 40°c. Bush fires are more frequent and dangerous during this period. The brigade often works long shifts, sometimes 12 hours at a time, to protect their community from the threat.

In addition, Ukrainian students study the Georgian language and literature so they can build stronger ties with their host nation. The Georgian government says more than 1,500 Ukrainian students are currently enrolled in schools across the country.
