People fleeing Myanmar must be allowed access to territory to seek asylum and be protected against refoulement. Those already abroad mustn’t be forced to return when seeking intl protection. States must comply with intl law + respect the rights of those in need of intl protection

The UN Refugee Agency has received multiple reports of forced returns of Myanmar nationals from Malaysia since April. Such deportations of refugees and asylum seekers amount to refoulement. Sending them back to Myanmar exposes them to harm and danger. https://t.co/56We9hUGYo
