Nearly 800K refugees have fled #Ukraine by crossing into #Hungary. Many received food, medical & transport help thanks to volunteers, charities & officials at centers like the BOK Sports and Conference Center. We were there in Budapest today with State Secretary Soltész. https://t.co/rn7yAJKAHW

This morning, we met with Ukrainian refugees registering for temporary protection here in Budapest. While they’re grateful to be able to work and get their kids back to school, more than anything, they want to be able to return safely home and see their loved ones again. https://t.co/rVsAEmsD3s https://t.co/Mywuq26VRv

No pile of blankets. No sum of cash. No amount of medicine. Aid will not halt the death and destruction. Ukraine needs peace. https://t.co/e53viXG7ts

This evening I briefed the UN Security Council on Ukraine from Hungary. During my visit to the region, I have seen the impacts of war, the courage of those fleeing, and the compassion of many supporting them. What we now need to see is action from the #UNSC to bring peace back. https://t.co/SkEOJHroMx

A hotel nearby has been opened for refugee accommodation also by @opu_cz in Prague - including organizing activities and outings for the 🇺🇦 kids staying there. https://t.co/hQjGEqOFO8

At the Prague train station, refugees can get information, first aid, a hot meal, or help connecting to friends or relatives in 🇨🇿 thanks to @refugees partner @opu_cz. https://t.co/0pfQRjEGKC

We see that model in action at the registration center (KACPU) here in Prague. In a one-stop shop, Ukrainian refugees can receive their visas to stay, open bank accounts, register for SIM cards, get psychosocial support, find a place to sleep, and more. https://t.co/xbWYOL6CC5

The Czech Republic has been a model for inclusive refugee response for the nearly 300,000 Ukrainian refugees who have registered for temporary protection here so far. I met with @vnitro Minister @Vit_Rakusan to see how we can support them further. https://t.co/PSsTN4ziBe

Glad to have the chance to start my visit to the Czech Republic with the Mayor of Prague @ZdenekHrib The city and its residents have welcomed tens of thousands of people fleeing Ukraine with open arms - into their schools, their communities, and even their homes. Děkuji! https://t.co/CjyJmUN5vy
