Imagine the students of Widden Primary 20 years from now. How differently will they all see the world? Resettled refugee children who felt safe and welcomed & local children who learned more about the world & were lucky enough to be welcomers at such a young age @Refugees https://t.co/dDsxD1pilw

Being a woman, mother, sister, daughter is a joy I cherish & yet, as a woman, mother, sister, daughter & humanitarian who's worked & lived in some difficult, dangerous places, I'm not surprised 1 in 6 female asylum seekers are forced to flee BECAUSE they're women @UNHCRCanada https://t.co/7BbdCbCOZl

It's nearly 7 years since the conflict began. When will it end? We cannot stay silent. https://t.co/MHbAA49z6c

I’m thinking of the Syrian family I met who made lace from UNHCR plastic sheeting. Their sweet daughter wore a backpack in anticipation of starting school in a year’s time & she arranged all our shoes so we could step into them easily. Small kindnesses=big impact ❤️ https://t.co/XDdAHqnYwe

UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie in Jordan: "After 7 years of war, most Syrian refugees... already live below the poverty line, on less than three dollars a day. Imagine what that would mean for your family" https://t.co/LE2sElLJF6 via @refugees
